Our pals at Mind Over Matter Records have put together a fantastic vinyl version of 2009’s husband&wife album Dark Dark Woods and it’s on sale now!
The LP comes in your choice of red or white vinyl, in a handmade die cut jacket. Each LP also includes a CD version of the brand new album “Seems Like the Same Sound“, a complete reworking and remixing of every song on Dark Dark Woods by our good friend Adam Jessup! We really love this thing. It’s dark, ambient, expansive, gorgeous…but you don’t have to take our word for it. You can stream and preview the entire thing right here, right now!

husband&wife Releasing New 7″ And Need Your Help!
The year is 2012, the world is changing. In the olden days, teenagers used to start bands, then rich old fat cats would put up a bunch of dough to release the teen band’s record. Then, if the record didn’t sell a billion copies, the fat cats would kick the teen band out the door and the band members would get bitter, quit music and get day jobs. Or, the record WOULD sell a billion copies. The fat cats – owning the record and the band – would then pimp the teenagers to the four corners of the globe until they were hollow shells of their former selves and everybody hated them. Then, they’d turn to drugs, their lives would be ruined, and the fat cats would be fatter.
NO MORE! Nowadays, a band with no money (husband&wife) can release a record (“I’ll Wait” b/w “Don’t Rush“) with just the help of their friends and fans!
Starting yesterday, you can get in on the release of the brand new husband&wife 7″ vinyl single, “I’ll Wait” b/w “Don’t Rush”! This will be the band’s first new release since 2010’s Proud Flesh, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Not only is there a new 7″ up for grabs, but there’s a new h&w t-shirt, some new intimate and acoustic recordings, old out-of-print records, and a bunch of other great things. Poor people: You, and me, and the rest of us are going to have to wait a week to watch the video since we don’t have smart phones. It’s ok. We have smart brains! Use your smart brain this week to LISTEN to the new single “Sheepy Love” as much as you want to, that way when it’s time to watch the video you won’t get distracted by how good the music is. You’ll be able, then, to focus on how gorgeous the video looks and how well the two interact (for real, the video is great…i’m sorry you have to wait a week, but it’s worth it).
