The inaugural XRA release, [hmm]+[hmm] is five instrumental tracks of improvised guitar experiments from Mike Adams (husband&wife, …at His Honest Weight) recorded in the middle of the night over the Thanksgiving weekend of 2005 in his parents’ house. Using only an acoustic guitar, and a broken set of headphones as a microphone, these pieces are dense melodic and drony, not unlike the latest work from Danny Paul Grody, or a really poor man’s John Fahey.
