“I’ll Be Somewhere Listening For My Name”,the third installment in Mike Adams’ “Dust Collectors” series is more defined, yet more sprawling than the previous two releases. An intentional, then forgotten, then found tape loop created using a spinning coin on a tabletop, then pitched down, lays the foundation for this 45+ minute track. A warm blanket of fuzzed out synth drones gives us water to tread in, while real-time vocal improvisations bob up and down ahead of us leading the way through the soup like a beacon in the fog.
Limited to 30 hand-numbered copies, this CD-R release was painstakingly crafted by Mike Adams (husband&wife/At His Honest Weight) at his home in Bloomington, IN. Everything about this record, from the idea to the music to the packaging, was created over the span of just a few weeks.
Every copy includes detailed liner notes and an info-graphic sheet detailing the process and equipment used to create the album.
